G'day all of you fantastic people out there. 

Hope you are all loving that beautiful weather out there and applying your fitness in the real world. That's the beauty of all we do in the gym. 

Time to squat a couple of different ways. As you may have heard today we are starting to transition into our strength cycle. Over the next couple of weeks we will start moving into a few workouts to really test our core and then in the middle of August starting shortening up the WODs and really hit some strength work. I remember last year starting at 782 and we hit a strength cycle right away as that was the season for that type of work. This is upon us again now. We'll get our strength base now that we have our core locked down solid and then eventually get into some solid Olympic Lifting cycles. We'll still be breathing heavy, just for shorter periods of time. 

Strength

Overhead Squats x 3reps x 3sets

Back Squats x 3reps x 3sets

Hit a few overhead squats at relatively light weight and then throw on the weight for your back squats and lift away. 

Conditioning

2 - 10 - 2

  • OHS (115/75lbs) (95/65lbs) (75/55lbs)
  • Over the bar burpees

A little twist on my all time favourite couplet. Move fast, but move smart. Be efficient on those overhead squats and let your lungs burn on the burpees. Can't wait to do this one myself.
