Saturdaaaaaaay!

The best day to workout. No commitments. No work. (Usually). Brutal workouts. Friends. Competition. The weekend. Saturday has it all. And no we are bringing you a special guest coach all the way down from Summerside. 

Kim MacDougall will be at 782 to coach classes this Saturday. So if you are sick and tired of hearing the same voices over and over again (I know I hate my own voice now) come in and check out a class .

Strength

Snatch Progressions

  • 1 Power Snatch + 1 Hang Snatch

As you know the past few weeks we have been working on positioning in each and every movement and today is no different. Focus on speed and technique in moving the bar as you work up in weight, but more importantly, work up in form on these two lifts. The first lift is from the ground and the second snatch can be a power or full snatch depending on where you are with this movement. Take 12-15 minutes to work on these lifts trying to hit 6-8 sets after warming up this lift. 

Conditioning

5 rounds for time

  • 3 Hang Snatches (135/95lbs) (95/65lbs)
  • 5 Burpees over the Bar 
  • 7 V snaps

Pretty straight forward workout. Be technical on the snatch and hit the rest of the workout hard. Again depending on where you are you can power or full snatch those snatch reps.
